How to Adopt an Angel
Choosing an Angel is just the beginning. Our QR system keeps each adoption and gift return connected to the correct child from the tree all the way back to Angels Among Us.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE TREE
Take the card. Scan the QR. Then go shop.
Taking the Angel card from the tree is expected. Scanning its QR code is what officially records your adoption in our system.

From the Angel Tree to gift return.

Scan the QR Code
Before leaving, scan the QR code on the Angel card with your phone and confirm that you are adopting the Angel. This immediately records the adoption so another donor does not accidentally select the same child.

Keep the Angel Card With You
Take the Angel card with you while you shop. The card and its QR code identify your Angel in our system, so keep it safe — you will need to bring it back with the gifts.

Shop for Your Angel
Use the child's listed sizes, needs, interests, and wishes as your guide when selecting Christmas gifts.

Return the Gifts AND Angel Card
Return the gifts by the posted deadline to the return location shown for your Angel. You must also bring the original Angel card back with the gifts. Do not throw it away or keep it.

We Scan the Angel Back In
The host location will scan the same QR code on the returned Angel card. This checks the gifts back into the Angels Among Us system and connects them to the correct Angel for processing.
DON'T FORGET THE ANGEL CARD
The Angel card must come back with the gifts.
The QR code on the card is how the host location identifies the Angel and checks the returned gifts back into the system. Do not throw the card away after shopping.

Scan the QR code on the Angel card as soon as possible and complete the adoption confirmation. This helps keep the Angel Tree's availability accurate.
