Angels Among Us is a local Angel Tree program connecting children experiencing financial hardship with community members who want to help make Christmas a little brighter.

Families who meet the program's published eligibility requirements may apply during the application period. Eligibility is based on household circumstances, financial need, verification, and available program resources.

Angels Among Us currently serves Graves County, Kentucky only. Families applying for the 2026 Angel Tree Program must currently reside in Graves County. We are unable to accept applications from residents of other counties at this time.

Yes. Choose an available Angel and take the Angel card with you. Before leaving the tree, scan the QR code on the card and confirm the adoption so the Angel is immediately marked adopted in our system. Keep the card with you while shopping.

Yes. The original Angel card must be returned with the gifts. The host location uses the QR code on that card to identify the Angel and scan the returned gifts back into the Angels Among Us system. Please do not throw away or keep the Angel card.

Scan the QR code on the Angel card as soon as possible and complete the adoption confirmation. Scanning the card is what officially records the adoption and helps prevent another donor from selecting the same Angel.

No. Submission begins the review process but does not guarantee acceptance. Applications are reviewed for eligibility, need, verification, and available capacity.

Depending on the application, we may request current documents showing household income, residence, child residency or enrollment, public assistance, or other information needed to verify the application.

If additional information is required, Angels Among Us may contact you using the email address or phone number provided on your application. Secure follow-up links may be used for responses and document uploads.

Receiving or applying for help elsewhere does not automatically disqualify a family, but applicants must disclose other Christmas assistance so the program can prevent duplicate support and distribute resources fairly.

Visit a participating Angel Tree in Graves County and choose an available Angel card. Take the card from the tree and scan its QR code before leaving. Confirm that you are adopting the Angel so the system immediately marks that child as adopted. Keep the Angel card with you while shopping, then return both the gifts and the original Angel card to the location shown on the card by the posted deadline. The host location will scan the same QR code when the gifts are returned so they can be checked back into the Angels Among Us system and connected to the correct Angel.

No. Angel information is intended to help donors choose meaningful gifts. Donors are encouraged to focus on the child's listed needs and wishes within their own budget.

Unless the instructions on the angel or at the host location say otherwise, please leave gifts unwrapped so program volunteers can verify and organize them before distribution.

Yes. Local businesses and community organizations interested in hosting a tree can contact Angels Among Us. Host locations help make angels accessible to donors throughout the community.

Application information is used for program administration and review. Public angel cards should contain only the information needed for gift selection and should not expose private household financial or verification information.

Book Angel is an Angels Among Us initiative beginning with the 2026 season. Every approved child will receive a book in addition to their Angel Tree gifts. The book does not replace a listed need or wish.
